This is my second assignment still in stepped mode, wich means you see the major key poses with some breakdowns. Right now I'm struggling with splining, wich means I mess up everything I've done before. Oh what a .. sunny day

By the way my previous shot is not ready yet, but I'll post it as it will be finished.. once it will be

Ok Class 2 is started already and I am ready with all my heart to jump in the middle.

Here is my first blocking for Week 2. I am pretty satisfied with it for now. So much information I got last week, in the lecture video and in the QnA with Leigh Rens my new mentor. Wating for my eCritique to start polishing the scene. Meanwhile I am watching other classmates work along with their eCrits which I found completely brainfreshing, not to talk about the Class 1 newcomers' work.

And here is a nice Richard Williams link sent us by our mentor, thanks Leigh!

Hi, this is my Class 1 animation reel at Animation Mentor.

Sunday, 17 May 2009

This is a simple ball bounce experiencing with the use of Maya Graph Editor. Added some lighting effects later. So here's my first bounce in Maya.
I found some cool spline lessons on the Victor Navone's site, I'm going to try them out.

If you want come and try them out for yourself, here:

Here I created a simple scene with some lights and rendered it from different camera views.

This is a rough animation I made with this character. I used only parent constraints when animating, no Joint tool was used here, so no IK.

I made this cause I am so diligent and had some spare time, so it wasn't a part of the lecture.
I am in the middle of the Maya Springboard course at AM. Here we are going through on some basic tuition about the software.  At this part of the course we don't learn how to animate yet. It is a kind of warming up.
I made this figure as basic modeling exercise and the part of the lecture. The body is made from polygon primitives 3 surface spheres: two for the eye and the head itself wich was later deformed. Then I connected the individual body parts using the parent tool. The goal was to understand basic modeling and hierarchy. No joints were placed.

I kept the model as simple as possible as I concentrate myself on animation.
